She smiled up at me with a light”I love you.”I laughed”You are so cute, I love you to.”We didn’t acutally get out and do much because we didn’t have much money, but my and my sweetheart always had fun.Wether it be watching old black and white movies or just reading a book together.Today was no different,we were curled up watching old Twilight Zone episodes. You know, the old black and white one’s with that really creepy nararator guy.Slowly I got up”You want anything to drink babe?”I asked with a smile.”No thank you.”she said”Maybe later.”I walked into the kitchen and pulled a soda from the fridge, then to the cupboard to get some cheetos. It was a good day,and I hope for many more to come.

Technology has had a great effect on my life. True for a long time I had light exposure to it, but in the whole spectrum of it has probably saved my life more than once. Medical Tech changes peoples lives and even gives some people’s lives back to them, this is one of the grandest things in the world, knowing that almost any injury or illness we have a chance to undo. Then there is the transportation, in my life I have travelled allot and It would have taken years for me to get to half the places I’ve been if it wasn’t for the constant developments in transportation. And of course we can not forget the entertainment. Video games are a huge thing in my life, I started out with an original Sega. And at the time it was one of the top of the line systems, and ever since I have watched the data grow and the graphics change, now we can put the data from 7 discs and fit it on to ONE blue ray disc. The graphics for some of the more recent games are so close to reality that it is astounding.

I don’t see much of a change for the teens do to the recession, the most it has done is eliminated the jobs we have been in need of. But do to most of us still living with our parents it doesn’t change much. But I live with a fairly wealthy family so I do not see the effects it has on most teens. But I still believe it does not affect us much, but it will affect us in the near future as we sink deeper and deeper into the recession. Soon many of us will be out of high school and trying to find jobs but there will be none. Thousands of teens will be left jobless and poor, many even without homes. We may even have a relapse of our once not to great depression but I believe it will be much more severe. But instead of it primarily damaging Farmers the most, it will strike the average person. Usually just above minimum wage making just enough to scrape by and still have some spending cash after bills and groceries. But that is IF that does happen, but I believe Barack Obama can pull us out of our debt and this ‘recession’.

I fear though if he fails our nation will reach and economic crash as never seen before in our history…Our country my possibly completely collapse. Heck, it’s barely been holding together for the last couple years anyway. So basically it has not had much effect on teens YET, but oh it will, it will. First allot of teens will be forced into using welfare, this in turn will raise taxes, then all loans will become harder to get, INCLUDING student loans for college. So fewer college graduates and less people able to work the more difficult professions, thus we will have shortages on people like doctors and lawyers even police officers. But hey, on the bright side we will have a HUGE military.

The Dark One

I remember a nightmare I had long ago, it began with a man. He sits in the corner, his eyes fixed against the reflected image of himself in the dimly lit room. His own gaze burns deep into his very soul. His blood soaked hands rest on his now crimson pants. He didn’t want this, he never wanted this. The tool of his sin, a blood stained blade lay beside him. He screams, and in a flurry of blood and broken glass, his own reflection vanished. He feels nothing as he stares down at his bloody fists; shards of glass protrude from every inch of his hands, like trees covering two great scarlet mountains. He surveys the blood-covered room; he no longer knew which blood was his and which was hers.

Slowly he begins to pull each bloodstained shard from his shaking hands, He yanks hard to set free the glass wedged deep into his bones. His mind crumbles, and he runs a small shard across his arm, He feels nothing. Slowly and softly he licks the blood from his fingertips? It tastes so sweet, sweet as the rarest of wines.

He walks over and kneels next to her body. He wipes away the blood and lightly kisses her cheek. He takes her hand in his; it is so soft, and yet so cold. A tear falls from his eye. WHY! Why did it have to happen like this? He never thought she would be one of ‘them’. He could hear them outside, moving around. That sound, OH! That torturous sound. He had thought he was safe, then… It happened, “SLAM!” the door pounded as it was beaten from the other side. No! How did they find him? It must have been when he screamed, or was it… THE BLOOD! He scrambled for his blade.

The door began to crack! “Slam!” He forced himself into the corner. “SLAM!” Waiting, waiting for the door to be destroyed. “SLAM!” The door was almost finished, he could see them now. “I won’t let you be the one’s to take me!!!” He raised the blade high into the air…”SLAM!” The door was now in splinters. They flooded in! He brought the blade thundering down!…And that was all, I awoke in a pool of sweat and tears. Forsaken, never to know the outcome of this strange man’s battle, never to know the identity of “Them”…Never to know the truth.
